Cricket royalty and rugby royalty in one studio. We are delighted to announce that Itch Social is producing Old Boys New Balls! — the brand-new sports and chat podcast hosted by legends Sir Ian Botham and Sir Bill Beaumont.
Two long-time friends, two legendary playing careers and — judging by the early recordings — no filter whatsoever. “Old Boys, New Balls!” sees cricket icon Sir Ian Botham and rugby union great Sir Bill Beaumont swap unfiltered stories from their playing days, get stuck into the big sporting talking points and chat with an all-star lineup of guests from sports, entertainment and culture.
“Two legends, one microphone, zero filter. This is exactly the kind of show we love making.”
Itch Social is producing the series end to end — format, production, distribution and promotion. Early guests include Piers Morgan and rugby referee turned broadcaster Nigel Owens, with more big names in the pipeline.
You can watch episodes and clips on the Old Boys, New Balls YouTube channel, or stream the audio on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
